With its 260 mm objective diameter and 3.000 mm focal length the VMC260L offers a particularly high visual and photographic resolution. It has a 2-element corrector lens in front of the secondary mirror. This system tidily corrects spherical aberration and field curvature. It also eliminates the need for a big, expensive and heavy front corrector plate found in conventional Maksutov designs. The VMC260L is available both in the version optics/tube and as a complete unit with the New Atlux mounting.
