The SkyWatcher 70/900 mm EQ-1 is a refractor telescope for beginners. It is suited for moon and nature observation, and in good light conditions also for planetary observation. With an objective diameter of 70 mm and a focal length of 900 mm it collects 36% more light than a 60 mm refractor and allows a high magnification. The convenient dual setting circles of the quality equatorial mount allow observers to locate the objects by setting the R.A. and Dec. coordinates. The EQ-1 mount can be fitted with single axis motor drive for hand-free tracking.
