SkyWatcher 254/1200 EQ6 Telescope

The SkyWatcher 250/1200 mm EQ-6 Telescope features gigantic optics combined with a mounting which can be tracked completely electronically! The enormous 254 mm mirror is one of the most poular formats for hobby astronomers: the light collecting ability is three times higher than the light collecting ability of the 114 mm telescope (57% more light than a 200 mm and 178% more light than a 150 mm), so that even faintest details of Deep Sky objects get visible. Its 9x50 achromatic finder scope reveals objects that elude smaller finders.: thanks to the luminous intensity of the optics, very short exposure times in the astrophotography are possible and thus, spiral galaxies and coloured nebulas can be photographed with a digital or a reflex camera with fascinating results. The EQ6 mounting has been especially developed to carry heavy telescope tubes and keep them stable and free of vibrations and disturbances. The EQ-6 mounting includes a polar finder scope, rektastention and declination scales made of aluminium and electronic tracking motor drives for both axes.
