The SkyWatcher 130/650 mm EQ-2 Telescope is as well suited for beginners as for hobby astronomers of many years! With the impressing diameter of 130 mm, the mirror collects so much light (30% more than with 114 mm diameter) that you can even see light Deep Sky objects highly detailed. Concerning planet observations, you can reach magnifications up to 260x and the planet discs show up in impressing size. Because of the short focal length of 650 mm, you can observe an especially vast area of the night sky (Rich-Field). Because of the proportion of aperture to focal length, a very good aperture ratio of 1:5 is created which permits short exposure times when dealing with astro photography. The EQ2 mounting permits a fine adjustment in declination and right ascension axis and can be refitted with an electronic tracking motor drive (to compensate the earth rotation) which replaces exhausting manual tracking. The SkyWatcher 130/650 mm EQ-2 Telescope is a perfect tool for beautiful and enjoyable hours under the impressing sky.
