The 120/1000mm EQ-5 is a powerful refractor with a focal length of 1000 mm and an objective lens diameter of 120 mm. Due to its good balance between light intensity and contrast, the 120/1000mm EQ-5 is perfect for the observation of planets as well as Deep-Sky objects. The 120 mm lens collects 38% more light than a 102 mm refractor and ensures high-contrast and crisp image. The EQ-5 mounting is a stable equatorial mount which is equipped with a built-in holder for polar scope, a latitude adjuster with micrometer scale, an azimuth polar-alignment adjuster, aluminum setting circles, large manual slow-motion tracking controls on RA and DEC, and a bubble level. It can be upgraded without problems, for example with a polar finder scope or an automated tracking device. The telescope comes with an Apex 35 mm 2'' objective, a 9x50 finderscope, a 90° diagonal prism and a stainless steel tripod.
