The 1300mm EQ-2 Maksutov is the ultimate take-anywhere telescope. It is ideal if working space is limited. Despite its small dimensions it packs a powerful punch. The High-Resolution, diffraction limited optical system is multi-coated to maximize contrast and image sharpness. The optics is equipped with a 102 mm diameter and a light collecting ability of 212 times and is ideal for a wide range of applications: astronomical observation, nature spotting or as telephoto in connection with every kind of common mirror reflex and digital camera. The quality equatorial EQ-2 mount is built with larger mount head for greater stability and tracking precision. The convenient dual setting circles allow observers to locate the objects by setting the R.A. and Dec. coordinates. The heavier EQ-2 mount rests firmly on an adjustable-height aluminum tripod with large wall-to-wall accessory tray and central stabilizer and can be fitted with single axis motor drive for hand-free tracking.
