Generally, for use on board we always recommend the Fujinon 7x50 FMTRC-SX-2 binocular because the 7-times magnification can still be hand held without too much shaking and the the 50 mm objective lenses mean that even under low-light or adverse conditions, the image will still be nice and bright. However, 7x50 does not say anything about the qualtiy of the optics of a binocular. If you compare several 7x50 models, differences will be visible in terms of resolution, i.e. the maximum sharpness and clarity of the image and in terms of light transmission, i.e. brightness of the imagee different quality levels available.
